PSV Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative repairs across our fleet, including next-generation electric vehicles
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults
• Completing scheduled servicing and responding to breakdowns and urgent repairs
• Overhauling and replacing key components including engines, gearboxes, and braking systems
• Accurately completing job sheets, defect reports, and maintenance records
• Following all health and safety procedures and workshop standards
• Working collaboratively within a shift team to maintain an efficient and organized workshop

Requirements

• Proven experience as a PSV/HGV mechanic or engineer (automotive, heavy vehicle, or rail considered)
• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving license (PCV/HGV desirable, but not essential)
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including evenings and weekends
