Job Description: Position Summary Under the leadership of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Director, Assistant Director and under the direction and clinical supervision of a Physician and/ or Genetics Nurse Practitioner, the Genetics Health Technician is responsible for assisting in the preparation of patients by performing the following duties: performs basic administrative technical and medical supportive services for a licensed physician and/or Nurse Practitioner by taking vital signs, recording medical history and confirming purpose of visits. Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding procedures, appointments and follow-up care. Other duties as assigned within their scope of practice.
