For more information about our current faculty, please visit Join Our Faculty . Appointment Type and Details This is a tenure-track faculty appointment. Applicants must hold a doctorate in Accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited university, conferred no later than the position start date of August 15, 2027. Relevant professional experience and certification (CPA or CMA) are desirable but not required. This full-time, 9-month academic appointment (August - May) has an annual salary paid over 12 months with continuous benefits coverage. The standard teaching load for tenure-track faculty is 2-2-2-3 over a two-year cycle. For the first two years, the teaching load is reduced to 2-2-2-2. In addition to teaching, there are expectations to advise students and provide service to the department, college, and university. Position Description and Department Environment The Department of Accounting seeks a teacher-scholar with research and teaching interests in all areas of accounting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and potential to engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary research and teaching, including the integration of data analytics and artificial intelligence into accounting pedagogy and scholarship. Faculty responsibilities include maintaining an active program of scholarship, teaching (typical class size ranges from 20 to 30 students), advising undergraduate and/or graduate students, mentoring students in research, and contributing to department, college, and university service. Successful candidates will share our commitment to the mission of the College of Business Administration-to advance knowledge and develop business leaders with moral courage and creative confidence to be a force for good-as well as the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education and Sustainable Development Goals. The Department offers a BS and MS in Accounting, as well as an MS in Taxation. To support research, the College subscribes to WRDS (including Compustat, CRSP, and Execucomp) and provides funding for summer research, additional teaching, and conference travel.
