Holiday Club Playworker - Andover SP10

About the role

At Junior Adventures Group, we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Playworker / Activity Leader to join our growing team. You will help deliver high-quality childcare in a holiday club setting, creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where children can learn, play, and develop. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has a positive attitude, and wants to make a difference every day.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured and engaging activities including multi-sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play
• Create a fun, inclusive and safe environment for children
• Support children during arrival, activities, and collection
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
• Ensure all sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed correctly
• Provide refreshments for children while maintaining hygiene standards
• Assist with setting up and packing away play areas and equipment
• Complete relevant documentation including accident and incident forms
• Communicate professionally with children, parents, colleagues, and schools
• Carry out basic equipment checks and maintain a safe environment
• Support and promote positive behaviour and engagement

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children (desirable)
• A positive, enthusiastic and proactive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, responsible, and able to follow procedures
• Ability to create a fun and safe environment for children
• Energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for childcare and play worker
• This role may also suit candidates with experience as a playworker, childcare assistant, activity leader, or similar role.

• This role is subject to safeguarding requirements in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

We are seeking a caring, energetic and reliable individual to join our Holiday Club team, supporting children through a range of structured play, sports, games, and creative activities in a safe and inclusive environment. Location: St John the Baptist Primary School, Andover SP10 3PF Contract: Holiday Club Only Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour (plus holiday pay) Working Hours School Holidays: 08:30 - 17:30 (Monday to Friday) Summer Dates Available: 27th July - 2 September Ongoing opportunities during future school holidays (excluding Bank Holidays & weekends) Please note: Applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of three weeks during the summer holidays.
