- Maintenance or calibration of any equipment at the Site that is owned by the Purchasing Utility, the Interconnecting Utility, the System Operator, or any other third party.
Requirements
- Related university degree and seven-plus years' experience OR nine-plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
- Technical Certification/Training / Experience in the electrical and Solar O&M fields.
- 5-10 years' relevant experience with strong troubleshooting (SCADA, substation, collection systems).
- Familiarity with NERC, ERCOT responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of all aspects of solar PV design, installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Solid understanding of NEC code, as well as NFPA 70E.
- Strong safety focus and ability to work under pressure while staying organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills (Excel, Oracle).
- Independent worker with sound judgment, decision-making, and reporting abilities.
- Customer-focused, results-driven, and committed to continuous learning and company processes.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Working Conditions:
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive manual tasks with tools and equipment.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme weather conditions.
- Strong vision, including depth perception and color differentiation.
- Meets safety and equipment limits (e.g., 300 lb climbing weight) and flexible for on-call/emergency response.
- Willing to travel to other sites and work variable hours as needed.
