About the role
The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in scaling Lumana's global finance organization during a period of rapid growth. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this individual will lead key accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and operational finance activities across our U.S. and Israeli entities. The Assistant Controller will own significant aspects of the monthly close, consolidated financial reporting, audit coordination, tax compliance, and finance operations while helping establish scalable processes and systems that support Lumana's continued growth. Location & Travel Hybrid in Caesarea or can be in our Ramat Gan office with some intermittent travel to Caesarea
Responsibilities
- Own the financial aspects of the Order-to-Cash process, ensuring accurate synchronization and reconciliation between Salesforce and NetSuite.
- Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and Inventory teams to ensure accurate processing of customer orders and revenue transactions.
- Support inventory accounting, inventory planning activities, balance reconciliations, and operational finance processes.
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
- Prepare and maintain consolidated financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
- Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Assist with tax compliance activities for both U.S. and Israeli entities, including sales tax and corporate filings.
- Support forecasting, variance analysis, gross margin reporting, and management reporting.
- Help automate finance processes and reporting through ERP, BI, and AI-enabled tools.
- Contribute to the development and scaling of finance infrastructure, controls, and operational processes as Lumana grows.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- CPA with completion of internship (staj) at a Big 4 accounting firm (EY, Deloitte, PwC, or KPMG)
- Experience in Audit & Assurance within a Hi-Tech/Technology practice
- 0-3 years of post-internship experience in public accounting or a technology company
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles
- Experience reviewing or auditing financial statements prepared under U.S. GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and financial analysis
- Fluent English (written and verbal)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated curiosity, ownership mindset, and desire to learn in a fast-growing environment
- Experience working with SaaS or technology companies
- Experience supporting U.S.-based entities or multinational organizations
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara, or similar systems
- Exposure to revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, leases, deferred commissions, or consolidation accounting
- Familiarity with U.S. tax compliance and sales tax processes
- Experience supporting financial planning, forecasting, or management reporting
- Experience with automation, BI tools, AI tools, or process improvement initiatives
