Responsibilities

  • Independently design and execute in vitro and in vivo studies with mice, canine and NHP in house or through collaboration with external CROs to support R&D and IND-enabling programs.
  • Communicate/interact with internal R&D teams and manage external CROs for successful study outcomes

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree in biological sciences (Immunology, cell biology and cancer biology) or related areas is required.
  • Extensive hands-on in vivo study experience (>5 years) for drug efficacy and safety/toxicity is required. Required key skills include various injections, bleeding, tissue collection and processing and in vivo imaging. Excellent mice tail vein injection is a must-have skill.
  • Extensive experience in execution of functional-based and multi-color flow cytometry-based immune cell profiling is required.
  • Deep understanding and profound knowledge of cell-based therapies for cancers and autoimmune diseases. Hands-on experience in CAR-T/NK cell assay is required.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Sense of ownership and integrity of his/her work. Can-do attitude and enjoy challenges and fast-paced working environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills are key for success and growth.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills including but not limited to attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
  • Excellent English skills in written and oral.

Role Overview This position will perform preclinical in vivo pharmacology and toxicology studies to support pipeline development. The ideal candidate will have experience in immunology or immune-oncology and in vivo studies with mouse and NHP to assist preclinical cell therapy studies from discovery to first-in-human trials. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment and would be skillful in driving multiple projects by contributing to the development of cell-based immunotherapies.
