About the role

An Appointed Category 3 position under the general supervision of the Deputy Finance Director, develops, coordinates, administers, and monitors the City's grant program while providing professional accounting support within the Administrative Services Department. Two years of progressively responsible experience in grant writing, grant administration, governmental accounting, public finance, budgeting, or a related field preferred. Requires a valid Utah driver's license. Grant Professional Certification (GPC) or Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) preferred. Probationary Period: Not Applicable. This is an appointed position exempt from the protections described in Utah Code Ann. Section 10-3-1105(1)(a). Knowledge of grant administration, governmental accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, grant compliance, and municipal operations. Responsibility for important City records dealing with confidential matters; great responsibility for the care, condition, and use of materials, equipment, money, and tools. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong technical writing ability. Note: Applications may only be submitted online.
