General Description: Seeking a qualified, part-time teacher to teach Developmental Psychology (PSY 230) to high school students through our Dual Enrollment program. This is a 7-week fully online, asynchronous position. The ideal candidate would foster an inclusive, engaging learning environment that supports student success. The rate for this position is $75 per student, per quarter. This is for the 2026-2027 school year. Job Description: Essential Job Functions: ● Delivers course content through an asynchronous Learning Management System (Canvas) ● Engages with high school students from various high schools through discussion boards, timely feedback on assignments, and correspondence ● Grades assignments, quizzes, and assessments promptly, providing feedback to support students' learning ● Follows established curriculum guidelines and syllabi, ensuring alignment with community college standards (Brightpoint Community College) ● Maintains accurate records of student attendance and academic progress Budgetary Responsibility: N/A Report Preparation: Grade reporting Equipment Operation: Operates personal computer, basic office equipment and equipment related to the program. Contacts: Contact with CCPS staff at all levels, students, and parents Work Direction/Supervision: Works under the supervision of the Coordinator of Student Engagement Decision-Making: Performs the majority of functions independently under the direction of the supervisor. Formal Policy-Setting Responsibilities: N/A Physical Demands: Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to use a telephone, to enter data into a computer terminal; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear, understand speech and speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly at normal levels indoors and on the telephone.
