Convening Operations Lead, The Anthropic Institute

About the role

The Anthropic Institute is looking for an Operations Lead to be the operational backbone of our external convenings programs. As AI gets increasingly powerful, Anthropic is eager to engage and learn from a diverse set of leaders and communities. We view in person convenings as an important vehicle for having deep and mutually beneficial conversations. We're looking for an operations leader with a passion for the work and the operational skills to execute meaningful convenings that can put the world on more solid footing as we collectively grapple with the changes brought upon by AI.

Responsibilities

• Run convening operations end-to-end. For each convening, develop invite lists and track outreach; refine presentation materials; build welcome packets and research briefs; coordinate room/travel/dinner logistics; run point for day-of facilitation support; lead post-convening communications.
• Own systematic follow-up. Build systems to track customized post-convening support to participants as they shape and use AI in their own communities.
• Use Claude for innovation and scale. Develop Claude based systems and tools to develop new ways of convening (Claude interviews participants before a convening to better understand their hopes) and create operational efficiency.

• Have run high-touch external programs, executive convenings, or stakeholder engagement.

• The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
• For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
• Annual Salary:
• $180,000 - $210,000 USD
• Logistics
• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
• Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
• Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
• Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
• Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
