Responsibilities
- Participates in changeovers, machine PM, and repairs
- Spends 95% of time on the floor with the machines
- Understands and can relate the current status of all production machines on the floor
- Works closely with shift supervisor to maintain machines in safe, efficient and quality process
- Spends first 15 minutes of shift in meeting with Maintenance Supervisor to review PM schedule and assigned tasks for the day.
- Before departing, shift PM Lead will enter appropriate information in the PM Log, or other appropriate designated place and be responsible for all appropriate documentation.
- Experience making and replacing hydraulic hoses and valves.
- Working knowledge of servicing hydraulics and replacing hydraulic pumps
- Basic understanding of pneumatic systems
- Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
- Responsible for adhering to Food Safety Compliance.
- Respond to any emergency or potential emergency.
- Security diligence, including maintaining control of door accesses, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Amcor employees and proper maintenance/security of Amcor equipment and information.
- Constant vigilance and participation in GMP and SQF practices.
- Complete all assigned tasks in an efficient manner and seek additional support when needed.
- Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality systems.
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
- Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes or systems.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and to push / pull loads in excess of 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand for eight hours minus breaks
- Ability to operate fork lift
- Ability to operated crane
- Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.
- Hourly Compensation Range:
- $27 - $29/hr
