Responsibilities

  • Participates in changeovers, machine PM, and repairs
  • Spends 95% of time on the floor with the machines
  • Understands and can relate the current status of all production machines on the floor
  • Works closely with shift supervisor to maintain machines in safe, efficient and quality process
  • Spends first 15 minutes of shift in meeting with Maintenance Supervisor to review PM schedule and assigned tasks for the day.
  • Before departing, shift PM Lead will enter appropriate information in the PM Log, or other appropriate designated place and be responsible for all appropriate documentation.
  • Experience making and replacing hydraulic hoses and valves.
  • Working knowledge of servicing hydraulics and replacing hydraulic pumps
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic systems
  • Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for adhering to Food Safety Compliance.
  • Respond to any emergency or potential emergency.
  • Security diligence, including maintaining control of door accesses, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Amcor employees and proper maintenance/security of Amcor equipment and information.
  • Constant vigilance and participation in GMP and SQF practices.
  • Complete all assigned tasks in an efficient manner and seek additional support when needed.
  • Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality systems.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes or systems.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and to push / pull loads in excess of 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours minus breaks
  • Ability to operate fork lift
  • Ability to operated crane
  • Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.
  • Hourly Compensation Range:
  • $27 - $29/hr
