Responsibilities

  • As a Product Manager within our group, you will have the responsibilities for optical transceivers, owning every product aspect throughout the product lifecycle - from market exploration, requirements definition and development, to go-to-market, product transition and end-of-sale phases.

  • Develop roadmap and engage with cross functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Procurement, Supply, etc.) to productize it.
  • Manage new product introductions, transitions, forecast and P&L.
  • Build partnerships with host-platform counterparts, sales specialists, and account teams to socialize and promote our portfolio.
  • Participate in training webinars, blogs, whitepapers and trade shows to articulate value propositions and competitive advantages.

Requirements

  • Bachelors + 8 years of related experience, or Masters + 6 years of related experience, or PhD + 3 years of related experience in Business or Engineering Field.
  • Experience managing multiple issues and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience in Pluggable Optics and its critical components such as DSPs, lasers, laser drivers and TIAs.
  • Experience engaging with Webscale and Neocloud companies
  • Product Management experience managing Optics and/or Platforms (Switch/Router/Server)
  • Work independently and possess strong analytical skills to break a problem into smaller solvable pieces.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with key stakeholders and articulate complex issues clearly.

  • The starting salary range posted for this position is $168,800.00 to $241,200.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.
  • U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:
  • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees
  • 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco
  • Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
