About the role

AI is reshaping how operating teams work, but most of that value stays locked behind two walls: people don't know what's possible, and AI experts at the center try to solve problems from too far away. You'll join the People function as a senior individual contributor, reporting directly to Nicholas , Chief People Officer, with high visibility across the executive team. This role exists to break through both walls from the inside, building the agents, automations, and internal apps that let Vibe operate at a different tempo. You'll build where the leverage is real, automating the workflows that run recruiting, onboarding, performance, and HR operations. You'll be both builder and multiplier, shipping tools yourself and teaching others to build their own. And you'll shape how Vibe works with AI, defining what's responsible, sanctioned, and safe across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Build AI agents, automations, and internal tools
  • Ship production agents and automations for People workflows like recruiting, onboarding, and mobility
  • Observe real processes to find where automation creates immediate leverage
  • Deploy with n8n, Claude Code, Notion AI, and the broader stack
  • Measure, test, and improve every tool you put into production
  • Lead AI enablement across the company
  • Organize Vibe's internal AI Champions program end to end
  • Identify 1-2 power users to leverage per team and equip them with a playbook
  • Organize the community through office hours, brown bags, and hands-on sessions
  • Teach recruiters, office managers, and HR teammates to build their first agent in one sitting
  • Partner with Engineering on the infrastructure layer
  • Build the data access, MCP servers, and governance that make safe building possible
  • Translate People and Operations needs into clear technical requirements
  • Ensure systems stay secure, scalable, and maintainable
  • Define responsible People AI usage
  • Set clear standards for data classification, approved tools, and internal workflows
  • Clarify what data can be used where, and what stays in approved environments
  • Build guardrails with Legal, Infra, and Engineering that protect trust and privacy
  • Own adoption and impact
  • Measure adoption, time saved, agents in production, and team productivity gains
  • Identify the highest-leverage opportunities across People and adjacent teams
  • Build and run a pragmatic roadmap with the CPO, improving on real usage
  • What You Need
  • 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years shipping internal tools, agents, or automations for non-technical users in production
  • Hands-on builder with Python or TypeScript, APIs, prompt engineering, and agent evaluation
  • Deep familiarity with at least two modern AI and automation tools such as Dust, n8n, Make, Claude, OpenAI or Anthropic APIs, MCP, Retool, or Airtable scripts
  • Track record working closely with non-technical stakeholders across People, Operations, Finance, Sales, or Product
  • Strong process judgment: able to observe a team, spot high-leverage automation, and design better systems
  • Fluent English-speaking operator who can train teams without creating dependency
