About the role

Banana Moon Day Nursery in Croydon is seeking a dedicated and passionate Baby Room Leader / Early Years Professional to lead our baby room team and support the development of the youngest children in our care. In this role, you will provide a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for babies aged 0-24 months, ensuring their emotional, social, and physical development is nurtured. As a Baby Room Leader / Early Years Professional, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality early education and care, leading your team with enthusiasm, and collaborating with parents to support each child's individual needs. Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 depending on experience Lead the baby room team to deliver exceptional care and early years education Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities tailored for infants Promote the well-being and safety of all children in the baby room Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Support and mentor team members for continuous professional growth Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and nursery standards Early Years Professional status or equivalent Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Education Proven experience working with babies and leading a baby room or similar setting Comprehensive understanding of early childhood development and safeguarding Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practice - A unique curriculum that focuses on the wellbeing of staff, children, and families. - A bespoke electronic 'Parent App', giving instant messages to and from parents about their child's day and development, minimising the requirement for excessive paperwork. - State of the art technology, including a biometric entry system - Good holiday entitlement. - On the job training and support from a national franchise. - Career advancement opportunities. - 4 or 5 day working pattern available
