About the role

The Post We are seeking to recruit a 0.5 FTE Grade 8 Lecturer in Advanced Practice to support the development and delivery of our highly successful MSc Advancing Practice programme and contribute to our growing suite of health professional programmes. The successful candidate will have a well-established clinical background, ideally with experience of advanced clinical skills, leadership and academic or clinical teaching. Doctorate level qualification or equivalent clinical expertise with a minimum of Masters level qualification is required and must be registered with the NMC as a Non-medical Prescriber. Description of Duties Design, deliver, assess and evaluate a range of teaching and learning, supervision and assessment activities across undergraduate, postgraduate including online/digital programmes, where required Contribute to curriculum review and enhancement, in a manner that supports student learning and is underpinned by evidence based scholarly activity Enhance the quality of teaching provision and programme development, drawing on leading practices from the HE sector Develop and apply new, effective and appropriate teaching and learning techniques and material, which create interest, understanding and enthusiasm amongst students Contribute to enhancement of the student experience and employability Essential Criteria Qualifications PhD in relevant discipline or equivalent professional and/or teaching experience or equivalent clinical expertise with a minimum of Masters level qualification is required and must be registered with the NMC as a Non-medical Prescriber Higher Education teaching qualification or equivalent e.g. PGCert and/or holding or working towards Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy (HEA) Knowledge, Skills & Experience Experience of designing and delivering excellent learning activities and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level preferably including online/digital programmes Evidence of developing effective learning environments and approaches to student support and guidance For further information, including a full description of duties, essential criteria and details on how to apply, please see Vacancy details | University of Stirling £47,389 to £56,535 per annum
