BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is the single office support position for the Maine Warden Service Division B Headquarters, located in Sidney. The duties of this position are advanced office administrative support work performing confidential, complex, varied office support tasks often requiring established skill sets which include a solid knowledge of modern office practices, Bureau of Warden Service systems and office equipment necessary to perform divergent clerical functions. This position acts as the liaison between field Wardens and the information they need to perform their work in areas of the state that have connectivity issues. Work is also performed outside of the office at various training and incident related events in which knowledge of Warden Service operations is critical. Dispatching staff on occasion, to various complaints relating to fish and wildlife related issues, recreational vehicle incidents, and search and rescue related operations. Additionally, this position is responsible for tracking and compiling all Maine Criminal Justice Academy mandatory and non-mandatory training records for the Bureau of Warden Service and is responsible for tracking all Operation Game Thief complaints and other OGT administrative tasks as requested. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a proficient knowledge of modern office practices to perform advanced administrative support tasks requiring specialized skills, and 2) the ability to use independent judgment, initiative, and discretion to make determinations on varied matters. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Office Assistant I , Office Assistant II , Office Associate I and Office Associate II.
