Chord Energy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Technician to provide critical support for our Land department. This position plays a key role in operated activities, including well proposals, project costs, joint interest billing (JIB), and revenue decks. The Land Technician will maintain internal databases and facilitate the approval process for operated ventures. This individual will work closely with Chord's Landmen, Division Order Analysts, Engineers, and Accountants to ensure accurate elections, data entry, and reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-focused, and proactive, with a solid understanding of oil and gas land practices. This position is located in downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience. Essential Job Functions Create, distribute and track well proposals, workover and plug and abandon AFE's to working interest owners and unleased mineral owners. Create lease forms and lease purchase reports for new leases acquired by the landmen. Create and maintain JIB and revenue decks, track elections, and manage spreadsheets related to projects Assist Landmen with the preparation of contracts and exhibits for wells and projects Review and code invoices related to wells, ensuring they align with AFEs and department budgets Maintain comprehensive digital files for leases, contracts, and well documentation.
