Accessibility Consultant

Responsibilities

• Test plan Definition - work with our global teams to determine the boundaries of the testing environment for our clients. The Accessibility Consultant will identify a representative test plan of the user interface components found in the client's system.
• Testing - test client's systems against specific manual tests and assistive technology tools. As a consultant you will conduct evaluations with our proprietary browser extension - that integrates the business and technical aspects of following the latest accessibility regulations in the industry.
• Consistency and Quality Assurance - You will work to support, review and provide a feedback loop, maintaining consistency and quality together with our globally diversified group of accessibility professionals.
• Your Qualifications
• Testing Focus - A portion of what you will do involves testing interfaces and validating that they conform to technical requirements. A desire to perform this validation and experience testing web-based interfaces for compliance with design specifications is critical.
• Flexibility and Adaptability - The dynamic and ever-changing nature of the technology and accessibility spaces coupled with nature of an ever-growing organization require candidates that are flexible, adaptable and able to thrive in a fast pace and high-pressure environment.
• Multi-tasking - ability to lead multiple tasks and organize your work effectively, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Personal Organization - You should have strong experience in both waterfall and agile PM tools such as JIRA.
• Education and Experience Requirements
• BS degree in technology or equivalent work
• 4+ years HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Strong working knowledge of Accessibility framework, i.e., Section 508, EN 349 501, WCAG 2.X
• Understanding general technical operations would be a plus
• Real world experience working with Product and Technology industries is a huge plus
• Specializations with Digital Properties are a PLUS:
• Mobile Testing - Android and iOS
• Design, Component Libraries and Design Systems
• Web Frameworks - Angular, React, React Native, Flutter, SPA
• Unity, Gaming Engines, Embedded Software, VR, or Hardware i.e., Kiosks, POS
