Responsibilities

  • Using LAWA's PMIS and other sources, review cost and contract performance of the Capital Program and report variances and risks .
  • Develop programmatic policies, procedures, and reporting to ensure proper cost controls across the Capital Program.
  • Perform independent analysis of project cost and contract performance across the project life cycle, including:
  • Budgeting

  • Assist in the development of and administer LAWA's Program Services Budget .

  • Assist and train cost engineering staff across the Capital Program.
  • Collaborate with Finance and the Estimating team on the Asset Register and project capitalization.
  • Collaborate with Controls staff on Expenditure Forecasting .
  • Support controls efforts to respond to internal and external audits .
  • Perform other duties as required/needed.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience (airport experience strongly preferred).
  • Prior project controls experience on a large-scale, multi-million-dollar construction program required.
  • Experience on a large-scale aviation-related project is required.
  • Experience evaluating and reporting on at least two Alternative Delivery methods is required.
  • Demonstrated success in prior roles (accuracy, reliability, accountability, and growth).
  • Self-starter with proactive, results-oriented focus; able to assume additional responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interface with stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to deliver accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex construction programs and clearly communicate progress/issues to both technical and management audiences.
  • "Can-do" team mindset; ability to inspire consistent high-quality results.
  • Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, business, or related field required.
  • Software / Tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Experience with PMIS systems such as PMWeb (or similar).
  • Adobe Acrobat experience required.
  • Primavera P6 (Version 6.0+) desirable.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • AAAE, LEED, PMP, PE, AICP, PMI-SP, or other relevant professional licensure/certifications.
  • Working Hours & Location: Full-time, exempt role with business hours 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. In addition, this is a hybrid position, and Monday - Friday in Los Angeles, CA .
  • Compensation Range: $156,000 -$166,400 annually; Eligible for Bonus
