Job Description Cost Planning & Budget Control Develop and maintain project budgets, cost breakdown structures (CBS), and cost control systems. Establish project cost baselines and monitor performance against approved budgets. Review project estimates, quotations, and commercial proposals during project initiation. Cost Monitoring & Reporting Track actual project expenditures, commitments, and accruals. Monitor labor, subcontractor, material, equipment, and vessel-related costs. Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports, dashboards, and management summaries. Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions to mitigate budget overruns. Forecasting & Financial Analysis Prepare Estimate at Completion (EAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), and cash flow forecasts. Conduct trend analysis to identify cost risks and opportunities. Support project managers in evaluating the financial impact of scope changes and variation orders. Change Management Monitor approved and pending variation orders, change requests, and additional work claims. Ensure all project changes are properly documented and reflected in project forecasts. Assist commercial and project teams in preparing supporting cost data for client negotiations. Procurement & Contract Administration Coordinate with procurement teams to track purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and vendor invoices. Verify cost allocations and ensure expenditures are charged to the correct project accounts. Monitor subcontractor progress and payment certifications. Project Controls & Compliance Maintain accurate project cost records and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with company financial procedures, project controls standards, and audit requirements. Support internal and external audits related to project expenditures. Requirement Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Accounting, Finance, Project Management, or related discipline. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cost control,project controls, quantity surveying, or project finance within the shipyard,marine, offshore, or heavy engineering industry. Strong knowledge of project cost control methodologies and budgeting principles.
