About the role

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will assist higher-graded HR Specialists in providing employee relations services. Location of position: This position is located within the GSA, Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM), Fort Worth, TX. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. The GS-07 salary range starts at $54,857 per year. Locality pay will be determined upon selection. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that involves completing structured assignments and producing work products such as reports, summaries, or presentations; analyzing problems and identifying key factors; gathering and organizing information; planning and prioritizing work; and communicating information clearly, both orally and in writing. OR Education: One full year of graduate level education or Superior Academic Achievement (SAA). OR Combination of Education & Specialized Experience: A combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position. Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) at the baccalaureate level is fully qualifying at the GS-7 level. To claim SAA, submit documentation of one of the following: 1. Class standing -- You must be in the upper third of your graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses. 2. Grade-point average (rounded to one decimal point) of: 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of your curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in your major field or the required courses in your major field completed during your final 2 years of the curriculum. 3. Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society in one of the national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies.
