About the role
You will serve as a Crane Operator NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform the most difficult and complex crane operator tasks including: independently, operating bridge cranes to lift and move loads where maneuverability is a factor; planning and executing routine lifts and maneuvers in accordance with commercially accepted safe rigging practices and in compliance with OSHA requirements; working with a lifting team using standard hand signals for crane operations; and assisting with operator inspections of cranes and related equipment. I also have experience operating motorized equipment (e.g., trucks, forklifts, specialized material handling equipment, tracked vehicles, tractors, trailers, wreckers) to lift, transport, and position material, handling objects weighing up to 70 lbs, and performing railroad operations as a locomotive engineer, braker/switcher or conductor. The ability to perform the full range of crane operator tasks including: operating bridge cranes to lift and move loads where maneuverability is a factor; executing routine lifts and maneuvers in accordance with commercially accepted safe rigging practices and in compliance with OSHA requirements; working with a lifting team using standard hand signals for crane operations; and assisting with operator inspections of cranes and related equipment.
