Course Builder - Biology

Responsibilities

• Works in close collaboration with OnRamps staff and the UT Austin Faculty Lead to redevelop the curriculum and related course assets for the OnRamps Biology dual enrollment courses.
• Creates modules, activities, assessments, and other course resources in Canvas LMS; participates in course prototyping, user testing, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborates with OnRamps staff members and the UT Austin Faculty Lead to co-develop and implement professional learning assets for the OnRamps K-12 Instructors.
• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Science, or related field and five years of experience teaching at the high school or college level.
• 1+ years of experience working in professional office environment.
• Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or other LMS.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders with decorum and tact.
• Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach.
• Punctual, reliable, and responsible.
• Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Biology, life science or related field.
• Experience with OnRamps Canvas courses.
• 5+ years clinical or teaching experience at a high school or college level.
• Salary
• $60,000 + depending on qualifications
