As Night Manager, you will be responsible for managing the hotel in the absence of senior leadership, maintaining a high standard of guest service, and ensuring smooth overnight operations. This is a hand-on role where you will lead from the front and support a small night team Effectively manage the daily reconciliation of the Hotel's trading, checking and preparing reports and statistical information in accordance with service standards and auditing procedures during the night shift Provide exceptional guest service, handling enquiries, check-ins/outs, and guest concerns Coach, mentor and inspire the Night Team to excel in their roles Ensure compliance with hotel Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and support the implementation, training, and continuous improvement of SOPs across night operations Oversee all hotel operations during the night shift (approx. 10.00pm - 6:00am) Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and the property Respond to emergencies and manage incidents in a calm and professional manner Assist with Valet Parking as required Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless operations and prepare for the following day Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across public areas Act as the main point of contact for guests overnight Previous Night Audit and Leadership/Supervisory experience in the hotel industry (minimum 2 years) Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Clear and confident communication skills - both written and verbal Ability to navigate through change and provide quick thinking solutions should problems arise A high level of attention to detail and organisational ability Confidence in handling financial reconciliation and reporting A guest-focused mindset and a passion for creating unforgettable experiences Are flexible and ready to embrace the rhythm of hospitality (including weekends and public holidays) Strong knowledge of Opera Cloud PMS (or similar systems) Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate and First Aid, or an ability to attain Must hold a current full Tasmanian driver's Licence.
