Junior Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Junior Electrical Engineer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should be capable of reading electrical drawings, performing troubleshooting, and contributing effectively within a collaborative, fast-paced team environment. Key Responsibilities / Job Scope Interpret and read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings accurately Perform installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to ensure minimal downtime Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and reporting Assist in project execution, including planning Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures Work closely with team members, contractors, and other departments on technical matters Support documentation, reporting, and record-keeping of maintenance and installation work Provide on-site technical support when required Team Collaboration & Work Environment Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and project teams to deliver project milestones on time Participate in daily/weekly team briefings and progress discussions Share technical knowledge and provide support to junior team members when needed Communicate clearly on technical findings, challenges, and solutions to supervisors and team members Work alongside contractors and vendors, ensuring clear instructions, alignment, and quality of work Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating accountability, reliability, and mutual support Be proactive in suggesting improvements and collaborating on process enhancements

Requirements

• Min. 'O' Level or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on experience
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Mature, responsible, and able to work independently
• Good team player with the ability to collaborate effectively
• Strong communication skills
• Willing to work in Tuas area and follow a 5.5-day work week
