About the role

As the Director of Imaging/Radiology Services here at Concord Hospital, you will have the opportunity to lead a high-functioning, highly motivated team of trained professionals. Reporting to the Vice President, Operations and Professional Services, and working in collaboration with the Department Chairman, the Director of Imaging/Radiology Services is responsible for overseeing services in the Radiology Department of Concord Hospital and outpatient Imaging Centers. Education Bachelor's degree required Master's level degree within the health sciences/business/management field, is preferred Licensure & Certifications ARRT Registered

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for the strategic direction and operational aspects of the Imaging Services Department including PACS, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, PET, Interventional Radiology Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Ensures the timely, accurate and quality completion of all imaging studies. Ensures department contributes to continuity of care through demonstrated use of interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.
  • Advocates for patient safety. Ensures the safety of clinical processes and demonstrates support of a culture of safety.
  • Ensures compliance with DNV, ISO 9001, ACR, and all legal, regulatory and accrediting agency requirements are met.
  • Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in managing productivity standards. Continuously evaluates and assesses work process/design to enhance productivity and service delivery to meet stakeholder expectations and business objectives.
  • Achieves exceptional patient satisfaction though staff engagement and commitment.
  • Prepares annual operational and capital budgets. Actively monitors budget performance and takes appropriate actions to meet budget targets.
  • Optimizes the use of supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring high level of clinical care. Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care or services delivered.
  • Demonstrates accountability for maintaining and monitoring utilization of department protocols, standards, policies, and practices.
  • Demonstrates personal responsibility for professional development. Actively promotes development of self and others through participation in professional organizations, educational opportunities, etc.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years progressive experience as a Technologist, preferred
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience required
  • Experience overseeing both Inpatient services and Outpatient Imaging Centers
  • Business acumen within a competitive and regulated environment
  • Working knowledge or exposure to Lean or Operational Excellence methodologies is preferred
