Job Description As an EPM, you will operate as a project and technical lead on hardware projects - partnering with Product and Program Management to define vision and requirements, and driving a cross-functional product development team to design, test, and deliver world-class ultrasound devices. As part of this role, you will also be expected to partner with Design Quality to adhere to Design Control and Change Control processes. As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be to: Champion the project's design goals, ensuring they are integrated into all aspects of the development lifecycle and holding teams accountable for achieving them Lead the creation of and adherence to product development schedules, ensuring key decision milestones are met across all phases and holding teams accountable Facilitate clear and consistent communication and alignment between internal teams and external partners, ensuring everyone is working towards the same goal and any technical risks are communicated effectively Facilitate early technology brainstorming, architecture and design, driving to alignment for cross-functional tradeoffs Define product and component level requirements through data-driven decisions, maintaining decision-making authority for technical conflicts, and ensuring product scope aligns with hardware feasibility and development standards Oversee the release process for parts and assemblies, ensuring timely and accurate releases and holding teams accountable for meeting release deadlines Provide strong leadership and support during build phases, ensuring timely delivery of components, proactive problem-solving, and definition of validation plans Identify and highlight technical or schedule risk areas. Collaborate with the affected teams to develop mitigation strategies and drive or support the closures of the issues. Continuously improve existing tools and processes, and develop new tools and processes where needed to improve project execution and communication efficiency Understand and implement Butterfly's Design Control and Change Control process, and create and maintain the Design History File (DHF) Coordinate with Supply Chain and Engineering on build quantities, strategy, configurations, dates, execution, and follow up Escalate technical resource needs and technology gaps to functional managers, and help to procure and manage suppliers, consultants, and contractors that are hired to address the gaps Own and manage smaller efforts around the development and qualification of products Travel as necessary to the different Butterfly and vendor sites to form relationships, gather feedback, communicate strategy and plans, etc.
