We're looking for a skilled and confident Senior UX Designer to join our Customer Experience team in an embedded capacity with one of Saudi Arabia's leading banks. This is a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of product thinking and visual craft, you'll be involved in shaping what gets built and how it looks and feels. You'll be working within the client's Riyadh office, collaborating directly with their product and design teams day-to-day, while remaining a valued member of the VML agency team, joining department meetings, contributing to team culture, and benefiting from the development and support structures the agency provides. This is a rare kind of embedded role. The client is mature from a design perspective, with a well-established design system, a product-oriented mindset, and a working culture that genuinely respects and enables good design. You'll have the conditions to do your best work. You'll spend your time contributing to product definition, understanding user needs, shaping product direction, and designing experiences, as well as producing high-quality UI that works within and extends an established, comprehensive design system. You'll be one part product designer, one part visual craftsperson, and entirely focused on delivering experiences that serve millions of banking customers across the Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition and shaping of digital banking products, working alongside product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into experience solutions.
  • Design intuitive, considered user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI that align to the client's established design system.
  • Apply and work confidently within an existing design system, using components correctly, maintaining visual consistency, and flagging genuine gaps to the appropriate system owners.
  • Translate business and user requirements into clear, well-reasoned design solutions that balance user needs with commercial and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional client team including product managers, developers, and other designers, contributing meaningfully to sprint cycles and product planning.
  • Communicate design decisions with clarity and confidence to stakeholders, backing up recommendations with evidence and rationale.
  • Work across multiple product areas or features simultaneously, managing your own time and priorities in a fast-paced product environment.
  • Participate in regular VML department meetings and contribute to the wider CX team's knowledge sharing, culture, and development.
  • You will have
  • 6+ years of experience in UX and product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates both strong product thinking and high-quality visual design.
  • Proven experience working in a product environment within a corporate or enterprise organisation, you understand how products are built, how teams are structured, and how to work effectively in that context.
  • Solid experience working with and applying a comprehensive, established design system, you respect the system, work within it effectively, and know how to flag exceptions without undermining consistency.
  • Experience with user research, whether you've led it yourself or contributed as part of a team, you're comfortable with qualitative methods and using insight to inform design.
  • The ability to contribute at both the definition and execution stages of a product, you're as comfortable in a discovery workshop as you are in Figma refining a final screen.
