Job Description Decarb Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based M&E EPC contractor specialising in Fire Protection, ACMV, and ELV systems, holding bizSAFE Star and ISO 9001/14001/45001 certifications. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, engineering, and delivery of water-based and special hazards fire protection systems - including clean agent gas suppression, across commercial, industrial, data centre, and process facility projects. Roles & Responsibilities Design and engineer fire protection systems: wet/dry riser, sprinkler, hose reel, hydrant, fire pump, and water storage systems. Lead design and delivery of special hazards systems - clean agent gaseous suppression (FM-200/HFC-227ea, Novec 1230/FK-5-1-12, inert gas/IG-541/IG-55), CO₂ systems, water mist, and aerosol/condensed aerosol suppression. Perform hydraulic calculations, enclosure integrity assessment, and clean agent concentration/quantity design calculations to NFPA 2001 / ISO 14520. Prepare design drawings, schematics, BOQs, technical submittals, and method statements for consultant and SCDF/authority approval. Conduct system sizing, equipment selection, and vendor/OEM coordination (e.g. cylinder banks, nozzles, detection-actuation interface). Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning - including room integrity (door fan) testing and discharge testing where applicable. Coordinate the detection-and-release interface between gas suppression and fire alarm systems. Ensure full compliance with SS CP 52, SS 575, SS 578, NFPA 13/14/20/2001/12/750, and SCDF requirements. Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, and authorities through design, submission, delivery, and handover. Provide site technical support, fault diagnosis, and resolution during execution and defects-liability periods.
