About the role
The Residency & Fellowship Counselor is the front line of the RMG client relationship. You guide prospective and enrolled physician candidates through their options, advise honestly on pathways to residency and fellowship, and convert qualified inquiries into committed clients - then support them through the engagement. Key Responsibilities Manage a pipeline of inbound and assigned candidate leads from first contact through enrollment. Stay current on residency/fellowship cycles, the Match, ACGME pathways, and IMG-relevant immigration basics. MD or DO doctors looking for residency 2+ years in counselling, admissions, advising, or consultative sales - ideally in education or healthcare. Strong interpersonal and active-listening skills; able to build trust quickly with high-achieving, anxious, time-pressed candidates. Goal-oriented and comfortable working toward enrollment and commission targets. Organized, CRM-fluent, and reliable with follow-up. Preferred Knowledge of the U.S. medical residency system, USMLE, the NRMP Match, or the IMG journey. Experience working with international clients across time zones and cultures.
