About the role
The Senior Technical Program Manager drives large-scale, cross-functional technical initiatives that are critical to Tekion's business and product strategy. Duties & Responsibilities: - Lead the execution of high-impact technical programs involving multiple teams, systems, and stakeholders - Partner with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and other functions to define scope, success metrics, and delivery plans - Identify and proactively manage program risks, dependencies, and trade-offs; escalate as needed to unblock progress - Establish clear operating cadences, including status reporting, stakeholder communication, and executive updates - Drive clarity and accountability across workstreams, ensuring alignment with company goals and product milestones - Mentor junior TPMs and contribute to developing best practices, templates, and tools for the TPM function - Influence strategic planning and roadmapping with a program-centric execution lens Job Complexity: Manages technically and operationally complex programs with significant business impact and multiple dependencies Required Supervision: Operates with minimal supervision; expected to drive cross-functional programs independently and make strategic execution decisions Expertise: Recognized expert in technical program delivery; demonstrates leadership in both technical execution and stakeholder alignment
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in technical program management, software delivery, or engineering leadership
- Proven track record of leading complex technical programs in fast-paced or high-growth environments
- Deep understanding of software development, system architecture, and agile methodologies
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and other project management and collaboration tools
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, SAFe) a plus
