All members of the New Mexico Army National Guard or current Active Duty/Reserve military members eligible and wiling to become members of the New Mexico Army National Guard This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D0964000 and is part of the NM CFMO, National Guard. Military Grades: Officer (O-4 and below) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 1 year specialized experience to at least the next lower grade that provided experience, education or training demonstrating the knowledge of the principles, practices, and concepts of an environmental program sufficient to serve as the expert technical advisor on the various environmental programs. Experience demonstrating knowledge of environmental issues, problems and solutions regarding federal, state, rural and community environmental regulations. Experience in program planning or administration concerned with environmental protection or other activities related to environmental problems. Experience in an advisory or research capacity involving the creation of solutions to problems concerning environmental protection or other related activities. Experience using on-site investigation techniques, analysis of results and development of conclusions to insure conformance to environmental regulations. Must possess two years prior experience in a state National Guard Construction and Facilities Management Office/Installations and Environment (G9) or at ARNG G9 or experience in occupational health or environmental health fields. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
