About Pulse Heart Institute MultiCare's Pulse Heart Institute is a physician led institute with multi-specialty partnership with Cardiothoracic surgery, vascular and cardiovascular service lines. Our team and state-of-the-art programs create a world-class health care organization and the destination center for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care with complex structural heart disease and interventions, advanced heart failure service as well as advanced imaging with cutting edge technologies. FTE: .01 Per Diem, Shift: Days, Schedule: The Medical Assistant position at Pulse Vascular is typically an 8 hour scheduled shift, but potentially could have longer days every so often. This position primarily works out of Tacoma, but could be scheduled at Auburn or Puyallup if there is a critical need. Position Summary The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team working under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers.
