About the role

We're growing our Dublin engineering hub and hiring a Senior Engineer to be our technical lead in EMEA. You'll own key product areas, set architecture and quality bars, and grow a small local team. You'll sit close to customers; jumping on calls, validating metrics, and shaping what we build based on real conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to technical direction in Dublin: set architecture, reliability, and performance standards; make trade-offs explicit; keep the bar high.
  • Support other great engineers: support engineers, level them up, and create a high-trust, high-feedback culture.
  • Work directly with EMEA customers: translate messy, high-leverage problems into shippable work; measure outcomes.
  • Own critical systems end-to-end:
  • Data & retrieval pipelines that process thousands of conversations/day (Zendesk, Intercom, Salesforce).
  • LLM evaluation/generation flows (prompting, retrieval, safety/guardrails, evals, observability).
  • Real-time scoring, analytics, and coaching loops that drive measurable CX improvements.
  • Fast, resilient UIs (Next.js/React) that make complex AI interactions feel simple.
  • Partner across SF & Dublin: tight loops with product/design/GTM; share context and push decisions over the line.
  • What success looks like
  • 3 months : You've shipped a customer feature, built some expertise for an area in prod, helped run demos for VIP accounts, and identified 1-2 strategic tech investments.
  • 6 months : You're the primary owner for a product or service, with clear SLOs and dashboards; you've mentored a teammate and contributed structured input to the roadmap based on EMEA conversations.
  • 12 months : Your area is boringly reliable and meaningfully faster; you've led a cross-cutting refactor or performance project, joined at least one customer on-site, and contributed wins we can publish.
  • Our Team & Culture
  • We hope you
  • Have at least 4 years of engineering experience, ideally at a startup (Series A to C), where you've helped ship complex, customer-facing products.
  • Bring strong technical leadership, including experience mentoring other engineers, leading technical decisions, or architecting significant product areas.
  • Have deep expertise in modern web technologies, product architecture, or AI integrations-bonus points if you've worked on notable or challenging projects we can explore together.
  • The good, the bad, and the honest truth
  • If that sounds exciting, don't second-guess yourself. Get in touch. Send us something you've built that you're proud of (GitHub, personal site, anything goes) and a short note about who you are and why this feels right to you. We value enthusiasm, ambition, and curiosity just as much as your t

Additional Information

About Solidroad Building something great is addictive. It's like discovering your favorite TV show mid-season, except you're helping write the next episode. It's like unboxing a new gadget, except you're the one designing it. You shape how it feels, how it works, and how people react when they use it. At Solidroad we're solving a big, messy, exciting problem: how do you scale customer support without losing what makes humans amazing? Warmth, empathy, intuition. We're using AI, generative tech, and real-time simulations to make this happen. It's ambitious, difficult, and genuinely new.
