Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot system failures, alarms, and emergency situations.
  • Support Fire Life Safety operations including coordination during fire alarms, drills, and emergency events.

  • Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facilities, plant operations, or building maintenance in a healthcare or similar environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system schematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Preferred Certifications (FDNY)
  • T89 Fire Life Safety Director (must obtain within 12 months of hire).
  • P99 Low Pressure Oil Burning Boiler.
  • S12 Sprinkler Systems.
  • S13 Standpipe Systems.
  • A35 Air Compressor.
  • N98 Fuel Oil Piping and Storage.
  • N01 Fire Guard.
  • N07 Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor.
  • Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in a hospital environment requiring exposure to mechanical systems, noise, and occasional hazardous conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be available for emergency response as needed.

  • $23 - $25 USD
