Description of Work Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences This position is located at Pamlico Correctional Institution , a medium security prison with adult male offenders. The position's focus will be assisting the Administrative Specialist I in Personnel by processing and entering staff timesheets on a weekly basis, maintaining the personnel files for approximately 150 staff. This position will schedule position interviews, complete hiring packages, assist with job fairs and hiring events. They will also run daily, weekly, and monthly reports and meet expected deadlines. They will assist with educating staff on available benefits and department services. The Administrative Associate II serves as the backup for Administrative Specialist I and will be able to complete Leave of Absence and Separation packages in their absence. This position requires frequent contact with staff through office appointments, emails and telephone calls. They will maintain spreadsheets to track positions, staff data and timesheets. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences: Salary Range: $31,200 - $51,249 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. About the Division of Institutions : The Division of Institutions manages the daily operations of all state-operated prison facilities across North Carolina. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions. The division provides safety, security, and rehabilitative services through trained custody staff, program facilitators, and administrative personnel.
