Get to Know the Team The ACE team is focused on delivering high-quality iOS features and maintaining product excellence through rapid iteration and problem-solving. Get to Know the Role As an Intern Software Engineer on the iOS team, you'll support the delivery of iOS features and help resolve technical challenges that impact our users. You'll work alongside experienced engineers to ship quality code and drive continuous improvement. You will report to Software Engineering Manager II. This is a paid internship role and is based onsite in Petaling Jaya. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform Support iOS feature delivery by implementing well-structured, testable code that meets our quality standards. Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during feature development and testing cycles. Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to understand feature requirements and ensure successful implementation from conception to release. Participate in technical discussions and code reviews with engineering teams to share knowledge and improve delivery processes. Work closely with QA to validate that app releases meet our quality standards and user expectations. What Essential Skills You Will Need You will need to start the internship in August 2025 with a minimum duration of 3 months. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to think clearly through complex technical challenges Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures with the ability to apply them effectively in code Natural coding ability and genuine passion for writing clean, maintainable code-you "vibe" with coding and enjoy the craft Proficiency in Swift or Objective-C for iOS development Familiarity with iOS app architecture and UI/UX principles Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and participate constructively in code reviews Strong communication skills and willingness to learn from experienced engineers What's Better to Have Experience working with iOS SDK and native iOS frameworks Portfolio or GitHub projects demonstrating iOS development work Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development workflows Familiarity with testing frameworks and quality assurance practices Life at Grab We care about your well-being at Grab, here are some of the benefits we offer our Interns: Attractive Monthly Allowance!
