About the role

The FP&A Systems team at Roku is responsible for building and continually improving financial forecasting models, with a strategic focus on automation and simplification of manual processes. We are looking for an exceptional Anaplanner with demonstrated hands-on-keyboard experience implementing new financial forecasting models from requirements gathering through go-live and support phases. The Senior Anaplan Architect reports to the Senior Manager, FP&A Systems and will also work closely with our implementation partners and greater FP&A team. This person will be critical to meeting Roku's Anaplan roadmap and providing best in class support to our end users. Roku is seeking a Senior Anaplan Architect to join the Corporate FP&A team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A Systems and Reporting, the person in this role will build new financial forecasting models, including revenue and COGS models for the Devices and Ads businesses. This person will also provide ongoing model support to the broader FP&A team and will build enhancement features for all models as required. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many changing and competing priorities. The candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and a passion for financial reporting and modeling. As a Senior Anaplan Architect, the person in this role will work closely with both internal team members and our implementation partner to gather requirements, design and build scalable models focused on automating the financial forecast process. In partnership with Roku's broader FP&A team, this person will also play a key role in developing standardized and scalable reporting solutions. The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of Anaplan and hands-on experience building complex models, from concept to delivery in the finance environment. The candidate will have a proven track record of partnership and delivering results and will be passionate about enabling financial processes, modeling, reporting, and analysis through BI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as expert modeler for new models and act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and support with existing models to the broader FP&A team
  • Maintain data integrity across systems to ensure the FP&A planning tool is accurate for actuals, data lists and hierarchies, cost centers, product codes, general ledger accounts, etc.
  • Create reporting templates, dashboards, etc. using source data to provide visualization to the end-users and their business partners
  • Participate in data integration solutions with other Roku systems
  • Understand the FP&A team's current reporting system and identify areas of improvement and simplification
  • Develop and support ongoing user training and materials to ensure all end users understand the application capabilities and leverage its capabilities to deliver an optimal end user experience
  • Ad hoc modeling, analysis, and reporting, as required
  • We're excited if you have
  • Minimum B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or another relevant field
  • 4+ years of progressive Anaplan model building experience, with focus on financial planning and analysis use cases is required
  • Anaplan certified model builder or solution architect is strongly preferred
  • 1+ years of developer experience with Tableau or similar BI tool is preferred
  • Keen understanding of core FP&A processes
  • A self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for Data, BI and analytics to drive business value
  • Superb attention to detail and a strong commitment to data integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and competing priorities
  • Background in tech and/or media industries preferred
