To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision (Screenout) Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading) Troubleshooting Measurement and Layout Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Your resume must show that you be able to perform the following duties under normal supervision: Make plumbing repairs that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, replacing, packing and sealing defective parts of utility, supply and disposal systems such as dirty traps, sections of broken tile pipe, and leaky drains; Complete needed repairs and hook up to installed systems such things as water heaters, disposal units and faucets; Use basic mathematics (e.g., addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and simple fractions) to perform repairs; and Use basic tools and equipment such as tapes, rules, hacksaws, hand and power pipe threaders and cutters, packing and caulking irons and pipe wrenches.
