With our global capabilities and footprint, vast expertise, and local knowledge, our Global Network Banking teams connect clients to the products and services that meet their international financial needs We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a ASSOCIATE, GLOBAL TRUSTEE AND FIDUCIARY SERVICES In this role you will: Client & trustee representation: Act as trustee representative and primary point of contact for client discussions on fiduciary, governance and trustee matters, maintaining a client-centric service approach. Developing and operating within risk frameworks to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate fiduciary risk across FA, TA, GC, and Fund Managers. Stakeholder engagement: Partner with clients and internal stakeholders on fiduciary governance, documentation and investment compliance topics to support effective decision-making and service delivery. Portfolio ownership: Manage an allocated portfolio of funds-related trustee relationships, ensuring consistent oversight and high-quality outcomes. Trustee compliance & governance: Ensure trustee activities are performed in line with applicable laws/regulations, constitutional documents and internal procedures/standards; maintain robust evidence to meet audit/IRM expectations. Documentation oversight: Review, negotiate and oversee trust/fund and transactional documentation to ensure it reflects operational processes, meets regulatory/constitutional requirements, fulfils trustee obligations, and protects HSBC's legal position. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation and fund data in line with internal requirements. Investment compliance, risk & issue management: Monitor investment restrictions and compliance requirements; identify, assess, mitigate and escalate operational, financial, fiduciary and regulatory risks, owning issues end-to-end through to closure. Service delivery & continuous improvement: Deliver against agreed service levels, drive process efficiencies/control uplifts, support operating model changes (including migration of activities), and maintain effective working relationships with offshore teams. MI, reporting & team contribution: Produce accurate management information within agreed timelines; contribute to knowledge sharing, internal initiatives, and (where applicable) support junior colleagues as an escalation point. Knowledge and Experience Required: Experience in the funds industry with exposure to trustee/fiduciary services, fund administration/trust administration, and/or investment compliance monitoring. Proven ability to review and support negotiation of trust/fund and transactional documentation with strong attention to detail. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently in ambiguity, and deliver operational change/remediation. Strong client service mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships across functions and locations (including offshore teams); confident communicator with senior stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in identifying, challenging and escalating. Strong understanding of trustee oversight controls, evidence standards, and audit/IRM expectations; experienced in due diligence, service provider oversight, sample testing, and remediation tracking. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; able to analyse complex situations, ask the right questions, and make sound decisions.
