Salary: £27,560.14 per annum Hours: 5 on 3 off 5 on 2 off (4am - 13:00pm) shift pattern Job Type: Full time and Permanent Contract Location: Unit H/J, Fort Wallington Industrial Estate,Military Road, Fareham, Hampshire, PO16 8TT Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing As Our Depot Supervisor: Make sure every vehicle is loaded safely, secure, and fully compliant with transport rules - AO-standard from the start. Keep an eye on deliveries through the day and step in fast when something needs sorting. Support new starters by showing them the ropes - Safe Systems of Work, Health & Safety, and how we do things at AO. Share daily/weekly priorities so the whole team's on the same page - great handovers and clear comms are a must. Work side-by-side with the team, helping split tasks and keeping everyone moving. Carry out alcohol testing when required to keep our operation safe and compliant. Handle small vehicle repairs and get servicing booked in on time. Chat with Drivers, answering questions and resolving issues with a friendly, helpful approach. Tranship and reload vehicles to keep the operation flowing smoothly. Complete in-house reports accurately and on time to keep everything running behind the scenes. A Few Things About You: Solid understanding of safe loading and transport compliance - making sure every vehicle is secure and meets the rules. Strong delivery-monitoring and quick problem-solving skills to handle issues as they pop up. Experience supporting and training new starters, especially around Safe Systems of Work and key Health & Safety basics. Clear, confident communication - sharing priorities, giving great handovers, and keeping operations flowing. A hands-on team player who can organise tasks, support colleagues, and get stuck in. Basic vehicle maintenance know-how, from minor repairs to arranging timely services. Great driver engagement and a customer-focused approach, handling questions professionally and building positive relationships.
