Supervisory Human Resources Specialist

About the role

This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Implements full range of federal recruitment, employee-management relations, performance management, and diversity management principles, concepts, practices, and techniques. Establish policies and procedures for accomplishment of recruitment, work-life programs and performance management. Identify requirements and initiate requests for additional resources including personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, and space to ensure success in meeting goals and objectives. Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Develop detailed strategic human capital management plans, goals, objectives with metrics, critical success factors, results, key elements and performance indicators. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
