OR Combination of education and experience: 4 years of accounting experience or a combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge AND 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) in accounting/auditing courses or a certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience is defined as: Serving as an expert technical advisor and consultant responsible for development, formulation or execution of special programs/projects related to audit policies, audit management or investigative services guidance/practices/techniques; OR providing expert technical guidance on planning and performing audits or investigative services and leading and/or managing people. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
