Automotive Service Advisor - Volkswagen

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive service experience from start to finish.
• Consult with customers to understand their vehicle service needs and concerns, providing accurate and timely recommendations for maintenance and repairs.
• Schedule service appointments and coordinate with the service department to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of work.
• Conduct vehicle walk-arounds and inspections to identify service requirements and communicate findings to customers.
• Provide accurate estimates for service costs and timelines, ensuring transparency and clarity in all communications.
• Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders, track progress, and update customers on repair status.
• Educate customers on recommended maintenance services, warranty coverage, and dealership service offerings.
• Process service orders, invoices, and payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with dealership policies and procedures.
• Follow up with customers after service visits to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or additional service needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or vocational training in automotive technology preferred.
• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or related customer service role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
• Knowledge of automotive service and repair procedures, including basic technical terminology and vehicle systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in computer software applications, including service scheduling systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
