Are you someone who can: Strategic Leadership & Risk Management Drive the development and execution of the enterprise physical security strategy aligned to FNB and FirstRand objectives Provide strategic input into risk management, compliance, and business continuity planning Partner with senior stakeholders to position security as a value-adding business function Identify emerging threats and design proactive mitigation strategies Security Operations & Governance Plan, direct, and coordinate security operations across multiple sites and high-value environments Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, including OSH Act, Fire Regulations, and audit requirements Liaise with SABRIC, SAPS, and other law enforcement agencies Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures Incident & Crisis Management Lead incident response for emergencies (e.g. security breaches, fire, medical incidents) Develop and maintain crisis response and incident management frameworks Mitigate risks and reduce operational and financial impact of incidents Technology & Innovation Leverage modern security technologies (CCTV analytics, access control systems, surveillance tools) to enhance threat detection Drive data-informed decision-making through dashboards and reporting tools Support integration between physical and broader risk/security systems where applicable Performance & Continuous Improvement Define and track security KPIs, including incident reduction, audit outcomes, and SLA adherence Conduct regular security assessments and ensure continuous improvement Manage SLAs with internal and external service providers to optimise service delivery and cost efficiencies Leadership & Talent Management Lead and manage a team of security professionals across regions/sites Drive performance management, skills development, and succession planning Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and innovative team culture aligned to Employment Equity goals You will be an ideal candidate if you have: Bachelor of Commerce or relevant degree 6-8 years' experience in Security / Protection Services, preferably within banking, financial services, or large corporate environments Experience managing multi-site or regional security operations Strong understanding of risk, governance, and compliance frameworks PSIRA registration (Grade A) advantageous Key Competencies Strong strategic thinking and decision-making ability Excellent stakeholder management (Executive, law enforcement, vendors) Ability to lead in high-pressure, crisis situations Commercial acumen - balancing risk, cost, and operational efficiency Strong analytical and problem-solving skills You will have access to: Exposure to enterprise-level security strategy in a leading financial institution Opportunity to influence security transformation and innovation High-visibility role with cross-functional stakeholder engagement Collaboration across REMS, PoP, and broader FirstRand business units Involvement in high-value property and infrastructure initiatives Access to continuous learning and leadership development opportunities Clear career progression into senior security leadership roles We can be a match if you are: Curious & courageous - you are driven by always wanting to know more and learn more and you are brave enough to Obsessed with mastery - you know what it takes to become good at what you do and are constantly pushing yourself to do it.
