Manufacturing Engineer - Welding

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering required
• 2-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in CREO and Teamcenter Visualization Basic
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis, problem solving, and process troubleshooting
• Experience supporting weld operations or welding processes strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across production, engineering, and vendor teams
• Ability to develop clear documentation, work instructions, and training materials
• Hands‑on approach with a focus on continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence

JOB SUMMARY As a Manufacturing Engineer - Welding in Fargo, ND , you will: Manage and optimize manufacturing processes within the Chassis Welding department to improve safety, quality, and throughput Lead hands‑on root cause problem solving for weld‑related quality issues and implement effective corrective actions Partner with production teams to troubleshoot welding concerns and provide technical guidance on process improvements Develop and improve tooling, fixtures, and weld process methods to enhance manufacturability and efficiency Create clear work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training materials for production teams Participate in safety incident investigations and support development of technical countermeasures Collaborate with vendors and cross‑functional teams to implement process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners Contribute to projects that impact communities in Fargo, ND, West Fargo, ND, Moorhead, MN, Dilworth, MN, Glyndon, MN, Horace, ND, Harwood, ND, Mapleton, ND, and the greater Fargo-Moorhead metro Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation
