Responsibilities
- Domestic fixed income and US treasury fail control.
- Handle daily settlement activity at BONY and DTC for fixed income repo activity.
- Maintain communication with repo trading business to resolve discrepancies and minimize business and operational risk.
- Coordinate with Treasury and trading desk for daily funding projections.
- Perform daily reconciliation of cash, position, and suspense accounts and resolve breaks in a timely manner
- Execute and document daily key controls in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Identify, design, and implement automation opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs to support training, incident response, and operational continuity)
- Participate in cross-training and knowledge sharing to drive process improvement, scalability, and team effectiveness
Requirements
- At least eight (8) years of professional experience in settlements preferable FED and DTC
- Experience working with Fixed Income, including factor adjustments, P&I, BONY, DTC settlement
- Understand the trade lifecycle of fixed income assets
- Bony broker dealer clearing platform knowledge
- DTC Settlement web knowledge
- Series 99 or 7 exam
- Strong risk and control mindset with experience operating in regulated environments
- Proven experience working with large data sets and performing operational reconciliations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities
- Experience in a fast-paced, multifaceted broker-dealer, clearing, or custody operations environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing process improvements
- Experience in ACAT related transfers is a strong plus
