Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking a Program Manager to join its Transfer Agency Systems group. As an integral part of a technical team you will be responsible for delivering IT project services for a demanding business. You will work closely with business experts, architects, vendors and application developers to conceptualize, develop and deliver projects and solutions. This role involves strong and active participation in team leadership, project planning and implementation. Main areas of responsibilities: Vendor management (patches, upgrades, etc.) Managing a small team (up to 10 people) and projects day to day Mentoring and developing team members Responsible for team design, team leadership, career development, and performance appraisals Contribute to the global staffing strategy and skill development across the team Working with project managers, analysts, developers, testers, business users and other specialists across multiple teams and locations to make sure that we build quality solutions on time and on budget Key management interface with both internal and external users Manage multiple priorities and make resource allocation decisions to achieve business goals Own the Systems approach to project execution and collaboration Foster and drive innovation, overseeing the prioritization of new business concepts/ideas Work with management peers in the Business and Systems organizations to plan and execute Transfer Agency's most strategic initiatives Represent the Transfer Agency Systems group in senior leadership discussions Qualifications for your role would include: 5+ years of experience in a project leadership or technical leadership role in Software Development Projects Undergraduate Degree (Accounting, Banking, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred) Excellent verbal and written communication skills High level of fluency in English including on the telephone 10+ years of experience in software development projects 5+ years of experience in a project leadership or technical leadership role in Software Development Projects Proven experience in implementation of vendor products (i.e. upgrades, patch fixes, etc.) Experience in project/product management using Agile methodologies Positive, can do attitude, open to change Demonstrates ability to take ownership and initiative Ability to work in teams and cultivate relationships across multiple geographical locations Highly organized and able to manage priorities and multiple work streams Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle Strong negotiation skills. Previous vendor management experience is a plus Transparent, structured and results oriented approach
