Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
• Basic Engineering Analysis: Perform basic engineering calculations and assist in design validation activities. Support senior engineers in simulation and analysis work (e.g., FEA preparation and interpretation). Document results and maintain design records.
• Collaboration: Work closely with team members and cross-functional groups including design, manufacturing, and quality. Provide support to fabrication teams by responding to design-related clarifications. Participate in design reviews and team discussions.
• Continuous Improvement: Develop proficiency in engineering tools, systems, and ESCO processes. Follow established engineering workflows and standards. Identify simple improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred)
• Maximum 2 years relevant experience or a fresh graduate
• Proficiency in 3D parametric CAD software (NX preferred)
• Familiarity with engineering software and analysis tools such as Agile PLM, Team Center, FEA, and Magma Simulation
• Registered Mechanical Engineer license or related certification
• Experience with fabrication drawings and weldment instructions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
