Responsibilities
- Handling full function of Account payable including verify invoices; payment, creating new vendor code, and posting AP/GL journal entries. All accounting entries must be completed strictly to monthly deadline
- Reviewing and validating vendors & sub-contractors' invoices to ensure they are properly approved in compliance with company policies & procedures or in alignment with terms & conditions of sub-contractors 'contracts.
- Ensuring monthly bank transactions are fully posted within monthly deadline and reconciled
- Making necessary accruals for monthly closing and liaising with others if necessary
- Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including maintaining historical record and AP supporting documents
- Paying vendors and reconciling AP balance on regular basis.
- Liaising with HQ compliance/IT team for vendor code creation and following up if existing vendors are blocked.
- Supporting in General Ledger entries during month end closing and assisting in preparing Balance Sheet schedules
- Initiates reviews and recommends process improvements particularly in areas where there is a financial impact
- Preparing quarterly GST and submission to IRAS and assisting in other statutory filing
- Supporting finance team for correct GST treatment
- Preparing monthly Headcount report to Business Units
- Preparing for the completion of monthly Headcount & Gross Margin Report, monitor revenue & cost accrual for month end closing by updating for bill rate and salary & others related costs for existing resources and new joiners
- Preparing calculation for sales & recruiters' incentive quarterly basis
- Preparing monthly Headcount report to Business Units and providing supports or clarifying any discrepancies or other issues raised by BU/Operations
- Supporting and providing any other ad hoc reports assigned by Country Manager
- Liaising and handling bank matters
- Managing insurance for yearly renewals
- Any other duties as and when assigned
- Qualifications/Experience:
- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or its equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
- Familiar with SAP Accounting system will be an advantage, but not mandatory
